Post 16 School Transport Review - Q&A Sessions
As you may have seen in last week's bulletin, Hillingdon Council is changing Post 16 Home to School Transport and is considering:
- providing a personal transport budget (PTB) as a default offer to support flexibility and promote independence
- in exceptional cases where a PTB is not suitable for parents of sixth form students and transport is arranged directly by Home to School Transport, a contribution towards the cost may be required. This fee will be a small part of the total cost and will be charged whenever transport is provided.
More information and a link to a consultation, closing at the end of February, are here: https://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/send-travel-consultation
New: The Council is holding two upcoming Q&A sessions online via Teams, one at 12pm on Tuesday 4 February and the other at 12.30pm on Wednesday 5 February. Details of how to join are here: https://hillingdon-live.occsites.co.uk/Calendar/Details/3214 or searching for "Hillingdon post 16 transport review" should find that page too.
Now's our chance to get our views heard, September 2025 when changes would happen will be too late! Please consider attending an online Q&A session and completing the survey if you can.
