Our 8th group of interns have been welcomed to the Marriott and now feel that they are part of the hotel team. In the Orientation period they learnt about the Marriott organisation and the company’s workplace rules. Other topics covered included appearance and grooming, appropriate social and communication skills and workplace safety – all skills that will help our interns to be successful employees. In their departments, our interns have been learning the required tasks for their job roles and have formed working relationships. They are now preparing to move on to their second departments in January and we hope they will continue to build on what they have learnt in Rotation 1.
