Dear Families
It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to see so many of you, with your child, at last night's Celebration of Achievement Evening. Thank you to our Governors for attending and the Worshipful the Mayor of Hillingdon,
Cllr Shehryar Ahmad-Wallana for being our guest of honour and presenting pupils with their certificate packs.
For those of you with children in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 who haven't yet attended one of these evenings, this is our annual event where we present pupils with their externally accredited achievements. Last night this included: Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards; School special certificates; AQA unit awards, Entry level; Signalong; Functional skills and GCSE.
Our two Head Pupils, Lazaro and Poppy, represented the school with confidence and maturity far beyond their years. Their vote of thanks, delivered to a packed hall of over 200 people was done clearly and from the heart. Many thanks and congratulations to both of you.
I look forward to welcoming people to their first, second, third, fourth or even fifth Celebration Evening next year!
Have a well deserved weekend.
Kind regards

Library Books Reminder
This is a gentle reminder that your child should be returning ALL books borrowed from the school library back to school. If your child has any books from the school library at home, please bring them back into school as soon as possible so these can be returned.
Books can be borrowed for two weeks, after which they will need to be returned to the library. If your child wishes to borrow their book(s) for longer than two weeks, they must speak to the Librarian.
As you will appreciate, new books are expensive, and the Librarian keeps track to ensure books are being returned on time. If book(s) are not returned, are lost or are damaged beyond repair, a letter will be sent home asking for payment towards a replacement.
Unfortunately, there is no alternative but to implement this course of action. Pupils who fail to return or lose their library books will be able to continue to enjoy books in the library but not be able to borrow library books until payment has been made. Please note that the Librarian will take any extenuating circumstances into consideration before issuing payment requests for replacements, and will discuss this with your child’s form tutor.
If you have any questions, please contact the Librarian, Miss S Gaafar, at sgaafar@meadowhighschool.org.

Anti-Racism Workshops
On Wednesday 15th November we had Audrey Pantelis from Elevation Coaching and Consulting visit the school again to do her 2nd Anti-Racism workshop with our students.
She provided some really fun, engaging and thought provoking activities for all. The staff and students loved having her back again and are looking forward to doing further work with her to try and make our school a Racism free place.
